Making An Impact – Impact Construction
If the cold weather has you down, this home from Impact Construction is sure to heat up your soul with its warm natural tones and light.
Located at 1209 S. Foss Ave. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, this 1,553 square foot villa style home invites you right in. With its unique stone accents from Midwest Stone leading up to the front door and LP smartside siding and trim, your eye is drawn to the front of this house.
As soon as you step inside, the grand space is flooded with natural and artificial light all the way up to the 9-foot ceilings. As you step a bit further in, you’ll notice the vaulted ceiling, giving you some extra height. The electric fireplace from Impact Construction is the perfect thing to warm up your cold hands and feet as you cozy up on the inviting couch with a cup of coffee or hot chocolate.
The vinyl plank flooring from Thorton Flooring effortlessly guides you to the kitchen and dining room area. This is set to be the perfect gathering area with ample seating at the dining room table and kitchen island.
“We really tried to keep this whole area very open,” says Tony Lahman, Owner of Impact Construction. “It was important that we create this warm and inviting vibe throughout the house, but especially in the kitchen.”
Those warm inviting tones are found throughout the kitchen from the light wood toned flooring and kitchen island to the white windows and laminate white countertops with a black vein from Formatop. Beautifully complementing that are black stainless-steel appliances from Mahlander’s Appliance and Lighting and light grey birch cabinets from Rosebud Wood Products.
“It just turned out so nice with all the light colors. We did the painted cabinets and then the wood toned island. You know, at first, we weren’t sure how that would work together and complement one another. But after it was all together, it really turned out beautiful.”
White ceramic tile backsplash with a grey grout line and black accents on handles and hinges are the final bow on this area.
“Another cool feature of this space is the walk-in pantry. It has so much space for all the ingredients you could need but it also has a plug in the pantry. You could put your toaster or anything else in there and that helps to keep your counter space nice and clean if you want. It keeps that area looking really sleek.”
As we exit the kitchen, we make our way down the hallway. To your right you’ll find the laundry room, coat closet and access to the three-stall garage. Two of the three bedrooms in this home can be found at the end of the hall.
As we make our way to the left, we are guided to the plush beige carpet of the master suite. Here with the perfect view of your beautiful backyard, you’ll find relaxation. Starting in the bedroom, the recess lighting and windows create the most inviting space. Above you, a ceiling fan to cool you down after a long day. The master closet features plenty of room for any item.
Wanting your own space in your master bath? No problem. The double vanity offers just that. Here you’ll find that beautiful light wood tones again on the cabinets and onyx white countertops that are complemented by the black accents on the mirror, faucet and handles.
The walk-in fiberglass shower with a concave accent piece calls to your stressed shoulders. Here you’ll find your perfect little getaway of comfort.
Want more of that beautiful backyard view? Let’s make our way back to the dining room and slide through the backdoor. Here is another perfect oasis spot: a back covered patio perfect for any gathering.
“This has to be one of my favorites about the home,” says Tony. “We did recess lighting in the ceiling and there’s a plug on the side for a smoker, grill or whatever you are cooking. It’s just so peaceful back there and has so much backyard space. It might be a skinnier lot, but it goes back pretty far.”
No matter where you are in this home, you’re sure to find your favorite spot in no time. With its open, fresh and welcoming vibes, it’s the perfect place for anyone.
