LARRY TOLLJuly 21st 2025My garage door started jamming and only opened about 6". I could close it and it would usually open on the second try. Besides jamming, it sounded as if the door was going to fall apart. Overhead Door came to the rescue and sent over one of their senior techs, Preston. He readjusted the tracks slightly and tested everything before he left. While I still brace for sound, it's operating as smooth as silk! Thank you, Preston!

LEE DOLPHIN LMay 30th 2025I had a wonderful experience with overhead door company. My wife left for work at 5 in the morning and told me the garage door wasn’t working. So I went and looked it over and seen a cable on one side had broke. So I looked for places that fix garage doors and seen what there was around Sioux Falls and seen the reviews for overhead doors were almost all 5 star. So I looked them up and left a message. They called back a little after 8 and ask for more information. I gave them my info and they said they would put me down. I only waited 4 hours before I received a call saying he was headed my way. When he arrived we talked a bit and he looked over the situation and told me that I needed two cables so the old one doesn’t break also. I asked about a price and he said oh about so much. And I was very happy with that. He went right to work and was done in about 20 minutes to half hour. VERY HAPPY WITH OVERHEAD DOORS. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

FUTUREKEYApril 27th 2025They really stand out with communication, problem solving and customer service. When you call you will get helpful solutions for simple troubleshooting, solid answers to questions and reasonably timed appointments for your garage door issues. Not every single issue requires a technician and if you can make a trip out to them for parts, or take their suggestions on what to do sometimes you may be fortunate enough to avoid a service charge. It's 100% worth it when they actually come out as the technicians are knowledgeable and thourough when they assess the maintenance issue. You are much appreciated for what you do for the small business owners in town.

Upon inspection, I notices a major problem with one of our metal cables tearing apart. I called OHD and a tech was here about a half hour later. Technician Preston did a fantastic job replacing cables on both sides of the door along with some rollers and a couple of pulleys that were looking very worn. He did a complete examination of all the hinges and lubed them all. He realigned the track on one side to make the door operate smoothly. My trust in OHD was reaffirmed! If you have a problem with your garage door, call them and you will never regret it.

They showed up with in a few hours, told us the problem was a broken spring and temporarily fixed our garage so we could leave. Our technician Preston came back awhile later and replaced the spring and cables. He did a super good job, very professional! Everything is working as it should now.

While I wouldn't expect that every time, I think it shows their commitment to service to their customers. The service technician was very friendly and quickly took care of the maintenance. He replaced a couple rollers and now my garage door is working great again!

However, he checked and lubricated the rails, increased the power to make it function more smoothly, and reprogrammed all my remote controls. Technician was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Cost was very reasonable.

My cables came off the drum and I called Prolift and they quoted me $280 for the job. Overhead did it for $95. They had it done before I had time to even go over there and pick up my own tools. I have rentals so I am well-versed in dealing with service companies and always try to do my due diligence to make sure that they are competent and have honest pricing. These guys definitely made the contact list in my phone!

The problems remained unresolved. This week, following a length discussion with Daniel, the problems were attributed to a motor unsuited to the door. They replaced the motor with one better suited to the replacement door. All appears to be right now. They stood behind their product and made it right. That's five star performance in my book.

CHARLOTTE BROOKSOctober 30th 2018Replaced 3 garage seals on my storage unit. Cable kept unraveling on 2 out of 3 doors. After frustration & some created cursing I left the project overnight. Called these guys 1st thing to come out to fix the cable. Receptionist was friendly/helpful. Stated upfront service fee to come out. Receptionist called me at work to let me know garage tech arrival would be w/in 30mins. Tech arrived w/in 30mins. Tech friendly/helpful. Completed task. Did not make me feel bad for trying my hand at changing the bottom seals (seals fine/cables irritating!!). Would use them in the future.
